Oveview
The 87TP01 module is responsible for controlling and monitoring communication protocols with external systems, as well as performing necessary data conversions. It is installed on a station-bus subrack powered by a 24V supply. The power is redundantly provided through the US (24V) connections of the station-bus backplane.
When the 87TP01 is used with an 87TS01/R2510 (5V module), the 87TS01 must be installed on a station-bus subrack with a 5V power supply, which can be achieved using the 89NG03 module (including a central clock pulse). For newer cabinets equipped with 24V supplies, the 87TS01/R1510 module is available as an alternative.
