Overview
The basic units, PM 802F and PM 803F, perform cyclic scanning of signals from fieldbus lines through their respective fieldbus modules. These signals are then processed according to the user-installed application programs, and appropriate signals are transmitted to fieldbus actuators via the fieldbus modules.
To achieve controller redundancy, two AC 800F units can be utilized. In the event of a primary AC 800F failure, the secondary AC 800F can seamlessly take over within milliseconds. This quick switchover is ensured by a dedicated redundancy communication link established through a secondary Ethernet module, which keeps both AC 800F units continuously synchronized. All input and output operations are designed to support this redundant configuration.
