In the 1715-AENTR system, the leftmost slot is designated as position 0, while the rightmost slot is position 1. Each of these slots is occupied by a redundant adapter, with slot 0 holding the primary adapter (labeled 'A') and slot 1 holding the secondary adapter (labeled 'B'). This system is intended to operate with both adapters simultaneously to ensure redundancy. While the system can temporarily function with only one adapter, this is only advisable during the replacement of a faulty module.
