Overview
The GIO212 Universal Input/Output Module is a versatile device designed to measure and output a wide range of signals. Each channel can be configured as either an analog or digital input or output. It supports standard signal types such as current (0/4 to 20 mA) and voltage (±10 V), making it compatible with various sensors and actuators. The module features a 16-bit resolution, allowing for precise measurements even for signals that do not fully utilize the entire measuring range, such as 0 to 5 V.
Temperature measurement is increasingly critical in many processes, and the GIO212 accommodates this by supporting Pt100/Pt1000 sensors in 2-, 3-, and 4-wire configurations, as well as all standard thermocouples. Additionally, the module's channels can function as digital inputs, which can be configured as interrupt inputs or 32-bit digital counters. For pulse length or period measurements, values can be buffered in a FIFO with a capacity of 1022 values.
