Overview
The 3500/15 AC and DC Power Supplies are half-height modules designed for installation in designated slots on the left side of the 3500 rack. The rack can accommodate either one or two power supplies, with any combination of AC and DC. A single power supply is sufficient to power a full rack.
When two power supplies are installed, the one in the lower slot serves as the primary, while the one in the upper slot functions as the backup. In this configuration, the backup will take over if the primary power supply fails.
Inserting or removing a power supply module will not disrupt rack operation, provided a second power supply is installed.
These power supplies accept a wide range of input voltages and convert them into suitable voltages for the other modules in the 3500 system. The available power supply options for the 3500 Series Machinery Protection System include:
