Overview
Up to three Coprocessor Modules can be installed next to each central module of the H51q-H PES. The main components and features of the Coprocessor Module include:
- Microprocessor: HD 64180 with a clock frequency of 10 MHz
- Operating System: EPROM
- RAM: Allocated for a PLC master project, buffered by batteries on the monitoring module
- Interfaces: Two RS 485 interfaces, with baud rates configurable up to 57600 bps via communication software
- Dual Port RAM (DPR): Facilitates communication with the central module via Bus 1
Note: The RAM for the master project is maintained by the batteries on the monitoring module.
Function
The coprocessor module features its own microprocessor, the HD 64180, operating at a clock frequency of 10 MHz. It primarily includes the following functions:
- Memory: 384 kB of static memory, consisting of CMOS-RAM and EPROM on two ICs. The RAM is battery-buffered by the power supply monitoring module F 7131.
- Interfaces: Two RS 485 (half-duplex) interfaces with galvanic isolation and a dedicated communication processor. The transmission rates, set by software, can be 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, or 57600 bps, or they can be taken over from the values set on the CU via DIP switch.
- Dual Port RAM: Provides fast memory access to the second central module.
