Overview
The Model 4119A Enhanced Intelligent Communication Module (EICM) enables the Tricon system to interface with Modbus masters and slaves, TriStation 1131, and printers.
For Modbus connectivity, users can choose between an RS-232 point-to-point interface, supporting one master and one slave, or an RS-485 interface, which accommodates one master and up to 32 slaves. The RS-485 network can use one or two twisted-pair cables, with a maximum length of 4,000 feet (1,200 meters).
