Thermocouple Input (TC) Module Overview
A thermocouple input module is equipped with three independent input channels that each:
- Receive variable voltage signals
- Perform thermocouple linearization and cold-junction compensation
- Convert the result into degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit
Each channel transmits 16-bit signed integers, representing 0.125 degrees per count, to the three main processors on demand. In Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) mode, the module selects a value using a mid-value selection algorithm, ensuring accurate data for every scan.
