Overview
The ALP121 PROFIBUS-DP Communication Module serves as the PROFIBUS-DP master device, facilitating communication and data exchange with PROFIBUS-DP slave devices. It is designed for use with field control units (AFV30, AFV40) and can be mounted on ESB bus node units (ANB10) or optical ESB bus node units (ANB11), which are connected to AFV30 or AFV40 systems.
- Slave Devices: The PROFIBUS-DP slave devices refer to field bus devices connected via a PROFIBUS-DP communication cable, including PROFIBUS remote I/O, PLCs, and others. Additionally, HART devices and 4-20 mA analog equipment are connected to PROFIBUS remote I/O. The ALP121 module can also interface with PROFIBUS-PA devices through a PROFIBUS DP/PA coupler, enabling it to access PROFIBUS-PA device data.
